This lovely old stone built hotel is opposite the castle in the heart of medieval Dinan on the river Rance,
considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in Brittany. The bedrooms, decorated in warm natural

writer Victor Hugo who once stayed here. A good continental breakfast is available each morning in the
bright dining room and there is a bar where you can relax in the evening with a drink before deciding

Originally nothing more than a small fishing village, elegant Dinard sits on the Rance estuary and
is Brittany's most fashionable resort. Developed by the British back in the 1800s, it has a sedate
atmosphere although it's far from lacking in things to see and do boasting a casino, golf course,
riding centre, water therapy centre and fine sandy beaches, plus summer festivals and a good choice
of shops, bars and restaurants along with a weekly market just to name a few - you can even catch
the small ferry across the water to St Malo. Right in the town centre, not far from the beach, the Hotel
Balmoral has modern decor, nicely furnished bedrooms with modern bathrooms, and a pleasant
breakfast room where you can enjoy a substantial buffet each day before setting off to sightsee or
