Santillana del Mar

Santillana del Mar is perhaps Cantabria's most cultured treasure and no trip to this lovely region is complete until
you've spent some time here. The medieval village centres around the beautiful Colegiata (church) and its cobbled
streets, lined with impressive buildings all displaying their coats of arms, are pedestrianised. In a superb location on
the outskirts of the village, Casa Conde is the middle level of a large 3 storey house surrounded by green fields and the
peace and quiet of the countryside. Built on an incline, access is via one of two terraces and the owners live below at
garden level. The floor above is closed off.

Luriezo

In the beautiful tiny farming hamlet of Luriezo & reached by a steep mountain road (alt. 741m), Casa Luriezo has
friendly, helpful owners & is the loveliest of houses. The views over the valley are outstanding and this area of
mountains & verdant forest is ideal for both walking and cycling. If peace and solitude in comfortable surroundings are
what you are seeking, then this is certainly the place to be.
Living room has kitchenette with w / machine, m / wave, range (no modern oven) & 2 ring hob, fireplace, tv and padded

Pedreña

Pedreña is a small village across the bay from Santander and is no doubt best known for its golf course and as the
home of Seve Ballesteros. However, it is also here that you will taste what are reputedly the best clams and razor clams
in Cantabria which the locals harvest from the sandbanks at low tide. The small ferry that runs regularly from Somo to
Santander is nearby and is ideal for a day out in the city without the hassle of driving or, if you prefer, there are many
gorgeous beaches to choose from in the area. Casa Geli is semi detached to the friendly owner's house and is close to
the village centre which has a few shops plus bars and restaurants.

Entrambasaguas

Surrounded by lush green fields on the outer fringes of a small farming village (3k), this cosy casa is in a beautiful
setting and has far reaching views across the countryside. Modern on the outside, the interior of the house is open plan
with a mezzanine bedroom overlooking the living area below. With easy access from the main Santander-Bilbao road
this is an area of meadows, fields and orchards and several lovely beaches are only a short drive. Lierganes (8k) is a
lovely village with a beautiful old quarter, some very good restaurants & a Sunday market, and is where the cannons
used in the Spanish Armada were made.
Open plan living room has kitchenette / dining area (f / freezer, hob & m / wave - no oven), woodburner, tv & open tread
stairs to double bedroom on mezzanine. 2 ground floor bedrooms - 1 with sgle bed and pull out sgle bed beneath and
