in high season. Around the corner you'll find the casino and a selection of bars where the locals gather in
the evening, and there is a lovely promenade that leads up to the Magdalena Palace through some beautiful

The perfectly preserved medieval village of Santillana is not, despite its name, by the sea. It is an
architectural gem and attracts many visitors, so it is nice to stay in the village and enjoy it in the
evenings when the crowds have gone. This centrally located hotel has an olde worlde feel with polished
wood floors, beams and traditional furnishings throughout. The restaurant caters for all tastes, there is
a delightful garden terrace, and in the quaint bar you can enjoy a warming hot chocolate and churro (a
traditional pastry). There is even a small shop where you can buy local products.
