The pretty town of Trouville, a seaside resort since the 1850s, owes its continuing popularity to two
things - a wonderful sandy beach and a willingness to constantly update amenities. Not least of today's
attractions is this hotel. In a quiet corner of town, close to the pedestrianised centre and not far from
the beach, it has excellent facilities including a small spa with indoor pool, fitness room, steam bath,
sauna and jacuzzi - treatments are also available for extra charge. And a real bonus staying here, free
parking, highly prized in summer in Trouville!

Trouville is the friendlier, slightly less fashion-conscious neighbour of Deauville, where it's possible to
wear last year's swimsuit without attracting raised eyebrows. Well located just 100m from the beach
and casino and where the streets are quiet in the evenings, this family-run hotel is welcoming and
comfortable, with a spacious lounge and breakfast room. It does not have its own restaurant but there
are plenty of good ones nearby to choose from.

modern hotel is ideal for a year-round break. A good buffet breakfast is available each morning which is
served on the terrace in summer, and there is a comfortable bar lounge for that pre dinner apéritif or mid
morning coffee. Bedrooms are air conditioned and have large beds and a shower as opposed to a bath.
Trouville is lively all year with an abundance of restaurants, many bordering the quayside serving fresh
fish, and the older part is pedestrianised so all in all it is a lovely place to visit or be in after perhaps a

Villedieu les Poêles, one of the oldest towns in Normandy, is literally 'God's Town of Frying Pans' and
copper shops tempt you from all sides. It has also been involved in the making of church bells since the
Middle Ages and the world famous foundry is well worth a visit to watch the craftsmen at work. The Le
Fruitier is a very pleasant 3* hotel with comfortable rooms and the locally renowned chef prepares fine
meals to enjoy in the charming setting of the restaurant. Additionally there is an indoor pool, sauna and
steam room in a separate building (400m) which guests are welcome to use (charge payable). Garage
parking (limited) approx. 5€ / night or free public parking nearby.

On the enchanting Côte Fleurie midway between Trouville and Honfleur, Villerville is a small coastal
village with a long promenade-backed beach and is known locally as the village of books. It was the
subject of many an artist back in the 19thC and is a great place to stay when exploring this interesting
coastline. The charming Bellevue is an extended 19thC Normandy villa (lift in new part only) and
annexe in a fabulous location up on a cliff overlooking the sea. The lovely garden has panoramic views
which you can enjoy from the restaurant or when dining on the terrace in summer - the impressive
gastronomy here has a fine reputation - whilst the spacious bedrooms are traditionally furnished and
have a sea view.
