This former country mansion dating back to the 17thC is within easy striking distance of both Santiago and
the Galician coastline, in a pretty little town noted for its white wine called Albariño. Stone pillars and wooden
ceilings provide interesting decor and the attractive inner arcaded courtyard is the ideal location to relax with
a drink on warm, sunny days. Bright, air conditioned bedrooms, a good restaurant and an outdoor pool (June-

Dating back to the 10thC, the Parador de Santo Estevo is in Nogueira de Ramuín, close to Luintra and was
originally one of the region's oldest monasteries. Surrounded by woods and not far from the spectacular
canyons of the river Sil, its 3 cloisters, which each reflect a different period and architectural style
(Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance) house the elegant bedrooms. Superior rooms with a valley
