paths nearby. Friday market in Melle (5k), a 'petite cité de caractère' known for its silver mines & Romanesque churches.
Day trips include Niort, Cognac, Poitiers (Futuroscope), La Rochelle or a boat trip on the calm waters of the Green Venice.
