Carantec overlooks the Bay of Morlaix which is dotted with lots of tiny islands, several of which make up
an ornithological reserve that protects puffins and terns. It's an attractive family resort with 7 beaches
and lots of watersports in season, and in summer you can take a boat trip around the islands. At low tide
there is a walkway from the harbour across to Ile Callot, an idyllic island with dunes, coves and beaches,
and Thursday morning is market day. This friendly, family run hotel is in the centre of town so shops,
bars and a variety of restaurants are all on hand. The pleasant bedrooms all have a shower as opposed
to a bath and there is a small comfortable lounge as well as a patio area at the rear where guests can
relax when the weather allows. Free public parking 50m.
