Castro Urdiales is one of Cantabria's prettiest fishing ports and people come from far and wide to sample its
excellent waterfront restaurants, relax on the beach and admire the church and 13thC castle that overlook
the harbour. And the ideal place to stay to enjoy it all is the Las Rocas. Close to the beach and town centre it
has a warm ambience and friendly staff, and the comfortable bedrooms all have complimentary soft drinks
and tea and coffee making facilities. Some also have a sea view. The restaurant specialises in fresh fish
whilst snacks and tapas are available in the bar. Hotel garage approx. 10€ / night (limited space).

This lovely family-run hotel is a stone's throw from the Playa de Luaña in Cóbreces, a small coastal
village which has increased in popularity over the years, and is now proving to be a holiday favourite
mainly due to its beautiful sandy beach that nestles between grassy headlands. It has individually
furnished rooms, all with terrace and sea view, and the bar is well known for its cocktails - what better
way to relax than on the terrace with a drink in hand! There is no restaurant but the cafeteria serves
food or, if you prefer, you can take a pleasant stroll up to the village (600m). If you are lucky enough
to be staying here in summer there are also
organised music and dance afternoons on
Sundays. No under 4s.

The lovely old town of Comillas has one of the region's best beaches and is a popular summer resort with a
charming fishing harbour and cobbled streets. The abba hotel is a pleasant stroll up from town (1k) and has
an indoor pool (children must be accompanied), a small wellbeing centre offering treatments and massages
(extra cost) plus a 9 hole golf course. Offering a high level of comfort and service, spacious bedrooms have a
balcony and the restaurant has a good reputation locally. Whilst here why not take advantage of the gym and
sauna, or alternatively sit and relax on the large sun terrace whilst watching play on the greens.
